How are survey and broadcast occurrences counted in a recurring survey setup?

When setting up recurring surveys, the number of occurrences includes the first survey. For example, if you set an interval of every "7" days and "52" occurrences, the survey will be sent weekly for one year, totaling 52 surveys. Similarly, if you want a total of 5 surveys (including the first one) every month, set the interval to every "28" days and "5" in the occurrence field.

After creating a wave, you can always navigate to the wave list to verify if all waves have been properly scheduled. You will see waves scheduled for the future at the bottom of each wave page (navigate to your Survey or Broadcast, then click on "Waves" to see all ongoing, completed and scheduled waves). 

Example: If you want to send out a broadcast or survey every 7 days a total of 3 times with the following example schedule: 

  • 11 April: First Occurrence 
  • 18 April: Second Occurrence 
  • 25 April: Third Occurrence 

Then you would have to say Interval "7" and Occurrence "3" as follows:
